Events Calendar

The Center’s calendar runs on two clocks at once — the academic year and the industry’s own major moments. Rather than operating on academic time alone, the Center times its research and signature events to line up with the moments the industry already pays attention to, so its work reaches the audiences building this industry in real time, not just the Syracuse campus. New initiatives and research findings launch at both the Center’s own events and at major industry gatherings — bringing student creators along for hands-on content production and networking opportunities at each one.

Signature Center events and research moments include:

  • ‘Cuse Creator Con (October) — The Center’s flagship annual event, convening top creators and leading thinkers from across the creator economy for two days of programming, panels, and networking, alongside the Center’s first signature piece of research
  • Advertising Week (October) — Reaching performance marketers and agency executives
  • CES Data (January) — Timed to the year’s first major industry convening
  • SXSW (March) — Reaching the intersection of culture, technology, and the creator economy
  • NewFronts (May) — Direct to the digital advertising and creator monetization audience
  • Cannes Lions (June) — The global stage for brand and agency leadership

Beyond this recurring drumbeat, the Center hosts launch and convening events across its key markets — including New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. — bringing together the platforms, brands, creators, and policymakers shaping the industry’s future. Partner events extend that reach even further, beyond the marketing side of the industry, to gaming, sports, news and politics — reflecting just how far the creator economy’s influence stretches today.
